About

Why Good Orange Dog?

Good Orange Dog draws inspiration from my childhood dog, Marley. His gentle dedication to the people around him taught me to live life with intention.

Never leashed or locked inside, Marley lived free. He spent his days visiting neighbors and swimming in the lake. He was loved by many, and he loved in return.

He passed peacefully at age fifteen on his own terms on his favorite spot on our deck. He was surrounded by people that loved him, many of whom traveled from far away to say good-bye.

As he passed, it was clear his legacy of connection would live on.

May this website serve as a tribute to his remarkable spirit, and a place of warmth, inspiration, and discovery.

About Me:

I was raised in a small town and small home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada alongside two younger sisters who are also my best friends. Childhood was spent barefoot and outdoors – spending hours creating and living within our own worlds of magic. Mother Nature held us close in childhood and taught us important lessons in strength and compassion.

At age 12, my family and I left the mountains and moved to Paris, France. For 10 months, my sisters and I attended a French public school without any prior knowledge of French language. It was here we learned sink or swim. After three months of complete immersion, we were fluent. We swam.

In 2019 I moved to New Orleans to attend Tulane University. I spent four years studying International Development with a focus on Women’s Issues. I emerged impassioned to make a positive impact on the world.

I graduated from Tulane in May 2023. Shortly after, I packed up my life and bought a one-way ticket to the Philippines with my best-friend, Jamie. This would mark the beginning of a grand, world adventure that has yet to end.

Through this journey, we’ve born witness to countless acts of kindness and have found ourselves in awe-inspiring places that have left us in wonder of the world around us. The opportunity to meet people across the world and hear their stories has been a blessing.

I am grateful for all up until this moment and truly look forward to all that lies ahead.
